Florence Watson

Florence S. Watson, 95, of Lisle, passed away on March 27, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell; grandson, Ben Walter; brothers, Robert, Fred, Raymond  Shrauger; sisters, Pauline Barrett, Anna Mae Mills and Carolyn Ceurter. She is survived by sister, Ruth Lewis, Dundee; brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Winogene Shrauger, Lisle; children; Patricia Corcella, CT, Elaine "Polly" and Tom Adgey, Niagara Falls, Canada, David Watson, Myerstown, PA; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Theresa Arena, who was her fresh air child and Terry Lynch. Florence and Russell raised Santa Gertudis beef cattle on their Watson Beef Farm in Lisle. She was a 4-H leader for over 25 years and was member and former officer in Lisle Garden Club over 30 years. She graduated from TC3 with degrees in Human Services and Nursing and continued in nursing many years. She received many letters of accommodation for her nursing care. She was a member of American Legion and V.F.W. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday at Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Center Lisle Cemetery.
