Ronald "Seagull" D. Seidel

Ronald D. "Seagull" Seidel Sr., 71 of Triangle, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family  on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. He was predeceased by parents, R. Joseph and Marjorie(Foote) Seidel; 2 sisters, Patricia Chase, Beverly Labour; and by his brother, John Slavick. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan Seidel; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Ronald and Katrenia Seidel, Mark and Julie Seidel; Jason A. Seidel; 2 daughters;  Candy Lynn Seidel; Karen Seidel and fiance Brian Bush; 8  loving grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Rick Ranieri; brother Robert Seidel; several nieces, nephews, loving in-laws, and beloved furry friends, Sadie and Betty. Ron enjoyed dirt-track races, NASCAR, his "lawn mowing duties", trips to Maine and the St. Lawrence River, fishing on Delta Lake and the Erie Canal with his friend Paul Rothdiener, having coffee with his buddies at McDonalds, and going to the movies with his "Best Friend" while always sitting "top row center". Ronald was a former member of Triangle Fire Department and Teamsters Local 693. Ron had a unique knack of making up parody songs including the "Chickie Song" and others. The family wishes to thank Dr. Yalamanchili at Broome Oncology, Dr. Mateen Kahn, and Lourdes ICU Staff for their care of Ron.  Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday at Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119th Street, Whitney Point, New York 13862. Burial will be in South Street Cemetery. Friends of the family may call Friday 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart  Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, New York 13220-3049 or to Handicapped Children Association, 18 Broad Street, Johnson City, New York 13790.
