Our sincerest sympathy to the family and friends of Erma. I will never forget going to Fitch's after school and getting a Cherry Phosphate. Erma was a very dear friend of my mother, Mary Bowerman, for over 70 years. They spoke almost weekly until Mom passed last year. I know they are happy to be together again in Heaven. Erma was a cornerstone in Marathon history - she will be missed. May God's love and grace provide the comfort needed during this difficult time.

Last Saturday night was the first Alumni Banquet that Aunt Erma did not attend and she was missed....Little did I know that just a few days later she would leave us forever....but that's not the end of our story...we'll meet again to be together forever.

Erma always lit a room with her smile. I remember the days of Fitch's, where all the kids would go and hang out and drink sodas. Erma always had a kind word for me and always made me feel good. She was very kind and loving to my Grandmother Ella Hartman. I even have the jacket Erma crocheted for my Grandma in my closet. I remember the visits that my Mother, ( Alice Ellis) and I had at Erma's home. She was always ray of sunshine on a rainy day. I will never forget her. Love to all the Family! God Bless You.
