Vladimir Balantic

Vladimir Balantic, 90, of Marathon passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Dorothy Balantic of Marathon; 2 sons, Robert Balantic of Cortland and Glen Balantic of Marathon; daughter, Debra Edgerly of East Hartford, CT; 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Dawn, Robert Jr, Matthew and 6 great-grandchildren. Before coming to America from Yugoslavia he was a champion professional boxer. He was a loving and good husband, father and grandfather. Private funeral services have been entrusted to Charles Dietrich with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Cortland.
