Thomas G. Taft

Thomas (Tom) Taft, 60, of Lisle passed away on March 3, 2025. Tom was an advent animal lover and extended his home oasis to include caring for animals of all kinds. Tom was a loving and caring partner, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and community member that went out of his way spreading love and kindness wherever he went. Tom was an amazing soul, beautiful light, a blessing to the world and his family. Tom’s life is a testament to integrity, character, sacrifice, and determination. May his memory provide comfort and guidance as he will be severely missed. 

He was predeceased by his mother, Dawn and his precious grandchild, Lyric. Tom is survived by his loving partner, Xiaoheng Wang; his children, Veronica, Roxann, Thomas Jr,and Brent; Tom’s grandchildren, Haveen, Amira, Zoey, Omari, Skyla, Justice, Journey, Shealynn, Eva, Ellie, Ezri and Dean. Tom was born to parents, Dawn and Ben. Tom’s siblings, Janette, Sandy, Sue, and Joe along with his many nieces and nephews including dearest Lisa; and his dearest friend Chris Lafever. Tom was a builder with extraordinary work ethic. He would always say how he would “make shit shine.” When is reality he created things that where and are beyond his time and will stand the test of time. Tom we loved you so much and you will be beyond missed.

Friends of the family may call Friday, March 7 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm at Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119 St, Whitney Point, NY 13862. Burial services will be held 10:00am Monday, March 10, 2025 at Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
