Thelma L. Belles

After a loving and fulfilling life, Thelma L. Belles, 76 of  Whitney  Point, NY entered into God’s arms on November 5, 2013 surrounded by her family.  Thelma was born August 21, 1937 in Johnson City, NY.  She is predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Emmogene Gregg; and two brothers, Harold Gregg and Walter Gregg.  Thelma was the beloved bride of her husband of 58 years, Austin M. Belles; devoted mother of two children and their spouses, Susan and Thomas Wheeler, and Kenneth and Heidi Belles;  proud grandmother of five grandchildren, Joshua Belles, Jennifer and Jason Orr, Jarrod and Kate Belles, Justine Belles, and Morgan Wheeler; and was  a loving Nana  to two great-granddaughters, Hailey and Lane.  She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Alice Gregg; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Lorraine Gregg; and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Gregg; many nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Charily Barnhart and family.  She is remembered by those that knew her for her faith, her thoughtfulness, and her devotion, as well as being a woman dearly loved and respected by her family.   Thelma was a long-time member of the Lisle Christian Fellowship Church.  She was also the office manager for the Star Group, Inc.  The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8^th from 6:00 to 8:00 M at Nichols Funeral Home at 7323 119^th St, Whitney Pint, NY.  Funeral will be held on Saturday, November 9^th at 11:00 AM at Nichols Funeral Home, immediately followed by a luncheon to celebrate Thelma’s life at the Lisle Christian Fellowship Church in Lisle, NY.  Burial will be at the family’s convenience.  Those wishing may make contributions in Thelma’s memory to the Lisle Christian Fellowship Church, PO Box 298 Lisle, NY   13797.
