Ruth Lamb

Ruth J. Lamb, 92, passed away on Tuesday, the 20^th of August 2013 after a long illness.  She was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Gladys Lamb, two brothers, Robert C. and Albert H. Lamb as well as a very dear friend Louise Glamm.  Ruth  is survived by two sisters, Gertrude Rozelle of Whitney Point and Betty parker of Elmira as well as several nieces and nephews.  Ruth served in Europe during WWII as a lst Lieutenant Army Nurse.  She retired in 1981 from the Syracuse  Veterans Hospital after 30 years of service.  She enjoyed knitting, reading, camping, and most of all her faithful cats.  The family will receive friends at Nichols Funeral Home in Whitney Point, NY on Thursday, August 29^th from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM.   In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your pet rescue of choice or the NY State Veterans Home at Oxford.
