Robert E. Prentice

Robert E. Prentice, 84, of Whitney Point, passed peacefully Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, at home. He was predeceased by parents, Roy and Jessie Prentice; first wife, Glendalee; brothers, Richard and Jon Prentice; stepbrother, Paul Prentice; and aunt, Margaret Gill. Bob is survived by his loving companion of 33 years, Linda Pfeifly; children, Jackie (Paul) Lagana; Jolene (John) Longo; Jason (Kelly) Prentice; Michele Prentice, and Jonathan (Crystal) Prentice; 12 grandchildren; sister, Sharon Billings; and special friends, Brent and Sandra Atwood, and Billy and Patti Samson. Bob retired as a branch manager from Kaman Bearing Co., Vestal, NY. He was a 50-plus year active member of Sand Pond Hunting Club. He was a wonderful, caring man and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Funeral service will be held noon Saturday, Sept. 30, at Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119 St., Whitney Point, NY, where family will receive friends 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will be immediately following at Riverside Cemetery, Whitney Point.
