Peter Schaefer, of Lisle, New York, passed away on December 8, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents, C. Peter and Helen Schaefer; and survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara, sister, Phyllis (Dick) Menzer, brother, George ( Joan) Schaefer, a son, David
(Joan) Schaefer and daughters; Susan ( Bill) Pfeil, Diane (Bill) Ritzenthaler, Linda ( Allan) Reinemund and 7 grandchildren- Ben, Lee, Jess, Casey, Jake, Cole and Eric. He’s also survived by several neices, nephews and cousins.
Pete was part owner of Schaefer’s Gardens in Haworth, N.J. and Triangle, N.Y. until his retirement. The family will receive friends at the Nichols Funeral Home 7323 119th St. Whitney Point, NY Thursday December 12, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday December 13, 2013 from 11a.m. until service time at 12 noon.
