Michael J. Reardon

Michael J. Reardon, 55, of Chenango Forks, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 4, 2013.  He was predeceased by his son Christopher in 2004, his father Joseph Reardon, aunt Nellie Fitzpatrick, and granddaughters Stella and Ava.  He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Reardon of 36 years, his daughter Melinda James, son-in-law Matthew James, grandson Jackson James; his "second son" Kurtis Hogdin, mother Jane Reardon, sister Mary Lackey, brother Mark Reardon, and in-laws Richard and Barbara Freer.  Michael worked for Universal Instruments for 29 years, he was an active member on the Broome County Fair Board, Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club, Whitney Point Rotary, and a board member of the South Street Cemetery.  Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and spending time with his grandson on the tractor.  A celebration of his life will be held Thursday May 9, 2013 at 11:00am at the Nichols Funeral home 7323 119^th St. Whitney Point, NY.  The family will receive friends at the Nichols Funeral Home Wednesday May 8, 2013 from 5:00-8:00pm and on Thursday May 9, 2013 from 10:00am until service time at 11:00am.  Burial will be held at a later date at the South Street Cemetery.  Donations can be made to the Broome County Fair Special Kids Day in lieu of flowers.
