Marjorie Briggs, 89, of Endicott, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton J. Briggs Jr.; daughter, Gayle Pratt; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Briggs. She is survived by her children, Clayton and Kathy Briggs, Duane Briggs, Jennie and Brian Porth, Tracy Briggs (Brenda); and several grand, great-grandchildren and 2 great great -grandchildren. Marjorie was a kind, loving and generous mother and grandmother and the best mother-in-law in the world. Marjorie worked many years at Broome Developmental Center. She formed many relationships with her clients and staff and was revered because of her tenacity and her good humor. She was the corner stone of her family. She was a hard worker and enjoyed “puttering” at home. Her grandchildren called her their hero. She always had a smile on her face no matter what she was going through. She will be truly missed until we see her again beyond the horizon. The family will be forever grateful for her caregivers near the end of her life including Jennifer, Kevin, Julie, Jennie, Kareen, Carl, Tracy and TJ. A funeral service conducted by her son, Clayton Briggs will be held at 7:00pm Wednesday at Nichols Funeral Home 7323 119th Street Whitney Point, NY 13862. Masks are required.
