Obituary
Janice L. Sayles, 83 of Killawog passed away on January 15, 2022 at her home. She was predeceased by her life long loving companion, Wayland “Pete” Brown Jr.; daughter, Linda Ingraham; 2 sons, David Moore and Douglas Moore and grandson, Ricardo Compagni. She is survived by sons, Robert and Sherri Moore of Cortland; Steve and Nancy Moore of Marathon, Kevin and Yvonne Moore of Marathon; daughters, Bonnie and Pete Daniels of Cortland, Shirley Compagni of Ithaca, Pamela Sayles of Killawog; 44 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Janice was a avid gardener and she enjoyed feeding and watching her birds. She was a long time member of Killawog Baptist Church. Janice was a loving mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. Private burial services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Association or to Lourdes Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Charles Dietrich at Nichols Funeral Home 7323 119 Street, Whitney Point, NY 13862 and condolences may be sent to the family at www.nicholsfuneral.com.
