James A. Gardner

James A. Gardner, 88, of Whitney Point went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.  He was predeceased by his parents, Fred & Grace Gardner of Killawog, two sisters and two brothers.  He is survived by three children; Robin Gardner, Kathryn Gardner, Randy Gardner, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, two sisters, Emily ( David) Nechwedowich, Whitney Point and Leona Bentley, Lisle, nieces, nephews and cousins. Also two beloved pets, Old Black                and Felix.

James enjoyed John Deere tractors, trains, and was an avid wood carver of trains and African sculptures.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 from Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119^th Street, Whitney Point, NY with Reverend James Hundley officiating.  Burial will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Nichols Funeral Home, from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM.
