Ivan C. Moscrip

Ivan “ Bud” Moscrip, 72, of Whitney Point passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013.  He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Ransom (Myrtle) Moscrip, brother, Ransom, mother/father- in- law, Wallace (Nellie) Barrows.  He is survived by his wife, Betty, of 40 years, his children; Jacqueline Moscrip Pickard, Glenn Ivan Moscrip, Penny (Raymond Mealick) Moscrip Murrer, 7 grandchildren, Valerie, Zachary Pickard, David, Loren, Nicholas Murrer, Philip, Sadielyn Combs, and 1 great granddaughter, Annamarie Murrer. Also, survived by sister/brother-in-laws, Williamay (William) Zeiter, Joyce Butts, Paul (Donna) Barrows, Carl (Pam) Barrows, many nieces, nephews and his close friend and pal, Rascal.

Ivan “ Bud” was a bus driver, worked at Grumans, Broome County Real Property Director, Town of Triangle Judge, Supervisor of the Town of Barker,  owner of  Moscrip Realty,  member of the Whitney Point Presbyterian Church,  Broome County Magistrates Association, Whitney Point Fire Dept./ Emergency Squad, Whitney Point Rotary Club, and President of the N.Y. S. Directors of Real Property.

The family will receive friends for a celebration of  Bud’s life on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Killawog Fire Station,  Jennings Creek Road from 1:30 PM to 4 PM with a memorial service at 4 PM.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Whitney Point Fire Department, Killawog Fire Department,  or the Whitney Point Rotary Club Scholarship Fund.
