Irene Secoolish

Irene Secoolish, 98, of Chenango Forks went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 2, 2021. She is predeceased by her husband, Frank Secoolish; parents, Fred and Mattie Rittenburg; sons, Dick and Ron Secoolish; sons-in-law, Chuck Gleason and Dan Crandall; sister, Gladys Adams; brother, Junior Rittenburg and good friend, Louie Basile. Irene is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Darlene Secoolish; daughters,  Marlene Gleason and Nancy Sherwood Crandall; sons, John and Mark Secoolish; daughter and significant other, Kim Edwards and Mark MacGrath; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Irene worked at Chenango Bridge Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of the Chenango Forks Ladies Auxiliary for the Chenango Forks Fire Company. She loved to travel, especially to Lake George and to the seashore. Irene had an amazing sense of humor and could make anyone smile. She enjoyed her home and taking care of her yard. She lived life to its fullest. Family was always the most important thing to her, and she will be dearly missed by all. A funeral service will be held 1:00pm Thursday, August 5 at Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119 Street, Whitney Point, New York 13862. Friends of the family may call from 11:00am until time of service at the funeral home. Masks are suggested.
