Hilda M. Kloda, 88

Passed away on July 14, 2013.

She was predeceased by her husband Francis Kloda on February 5, 1992,  her parents Adam and Mary Banks of Blakely, PA, her brother Dr. George Banks of Salinas, CA and great granddaughter, Madison Keefe.  She is survived by her three daughters:  Mary Anne (Larry) Frechette of Whitney Point, Sherry Lynn Kloda of Whitney Point, and Robin Jeanne Kloda of Pahoa, Hawaii.  Hilda’s survivors also include her 7 grandchildren Jennifer Spears, Marc (Dayna) Frechette, Kristina Lynch, Daniel Kvaltine, Shannon (Nick) Rombach, Heather (Aaron) Hine, and Jarrod Kvaltine, and 10 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 3 sisters:  Marilyn Craft of Whitney Point, Betty Coccetti of Eynon, PA, and Sandra (Richard) Austin of Roanoke, TX as well as several nieces and nephews.

Hilda was an active member of the Whitney Point Methodist Church, United Methodist Womens Group, and Golden Agers of Whitney Point.   She believed in volunteering her time and gifts in many ways.   She resided in the Whitney Point Senior Housing unit for ten years and volunteered in the Whitey Point Senior Center where she enjoyed spending time with her many friends.  She cooked/coordinated numerous dinners at her church for several years and was also a Meals on Wheels volunteer.

Hilda would like to thank all of the parents who shared their children with her during her many years of caring for them.  She had a place in her heart for each and every one of them.

Hilda’s family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Driscoll and his staff for their care throughout her lifetime as well as the staff of the Willow Point Nursing Home (South One) who provided dedication and compassion during her last few years.

Calling hours will be held at the Whitney Point Methodist Church on Saturday, July 20^th from 9:45 to 11:00am, with funeral services immediately following.

 In lieu of flowers, Hilda requested that donations be made to the Whitney Point Methodist Church or Whitney Point Fire Department.
