Harry S Underwood Sr. 74, of Lisle, NY passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Wilson Memorial Hospital

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Thelma Lincoln Underwood, Lisle; Predeceased by his parents Herbert Underwood, Mary Fraizer, Underwood, and his brother Fredrick  Underwood. He is survived by his brother in law Larue Lincoln, James Wolh. Brothers and Sisters; Lillian Underwood, FL. George Underwood, (Shirley), FL. Mary (Lenard) Cole, FL. Charles (Jean) Underwood, NY. Betty Judd, NY. Barbara Hamilton, FL. Dorothy (George) Altavilla. AZ. Douglas (Myra) Underwood, FL. Gary Underwood, FL. and sister in law Laura-Jean Underwood, NY.  His five children Darlene (Lyle) Weber, Berkshire, NY.  Cynthia (Thomas) Perce , KY, Tina (James) Perce Lisle, NY. Herbert Underwood (Theresa) Binghamton , NY, Harry (Samantha) Underwood, Whitney point, NY. His grand children , Christina (Thomas) Menhennet , Binghamton , NY. Danielle Weber, Whitney Point, NY. as well many niece's , nephew's and greats. 

Harry had a full life in his 74 years, he enjoyed his family and friend's completely he loved his hobbies, such as karaoke, golfing, hunting, his latest hobby of stained glass that adorns his home windows. Also trying to beat the odds at Tioga Downs and always just winning back and being able to discuss his wins and losses with his clientele.  He was the owner/operator of UNDERWOOD'S BARBER SHOP for 34 yrs. He enjoyed his profession as a barber  for 55 years   Mentoring several of his children  of his immediate family in Barbering skills. Harry also tried his hand at farming until he was injured, he worked as piece worker in Ithaca at Morris Chain , and at Titchner's in Binghamton .  Harry had a many good years as well as a very full life.  In the end he lived up to his reputation of being a  Man of Steel, and refused to ever be kept down. Harry will be missed very  much by  all his family, and close acquaintances and their close friend Sandy Taylor, his predeceased friend Joseph Taylor .  Harry will defiantly be sorrowfully missed by his faithful , loving wife Thelma . A couple  totally devoted to each other in their lifetime dreams of raising their family, and his very close friend Robert Maynard. The family will receive friends at the Nichols Funeral Home 7323 119th St. Whitney Point, NY Friday November 14, 2014 from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m.
