Hal Kennedy, a U.S. Air Force veteran, has embarked on a new adventure to life's last frontier. Hal passed peacefully on February 28, 2024, at his home in Triangle, NY. From his deployment to Alaska, vacations in Maine, and summers on the family farmland in New York, Hal’s love for nature was evident by the countless hours he spent hunting, fishing, and birdwatching. As a sixth-grade teacher and coach, he left a lasting mark on the lives of his students at Central Baptist Christian Academy and Greene Central School District. Hal also found great pleasure in being involved with church choir, school band, and concerts. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Donna; three daughters, Lynnette Maslin, Abby (Kevin) Lucia, and Mindy (Matt) Holmes; siblings, David (Judy) Kennedy, Carolyn Kennedy, Barbara (Rick) Trevithick; grandchildren, Emma (Caleb), Evan, Holden, Madi, Zack, Wyatt, Weston, and Waverly; as well as nieces and nephews. Hal is predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Jewel Kennedy. A memorial will be held at Berean Bible Church in Greene on Saturday, March 9, from 1:30-4:30PM.
