Gale R. Bennett

Gale R. Bennett, 77, of Whitney Point went to be with his Savior on Monday February 3, 2014. He is predeceased by his parents Ray (Anne) Bennett, twin brother Dale Bennett, one sister Maxine Holden and brother in law Merton Ketchum. He is survived by his wife Barbara Lyon Bennett; 4 sons, Allan (Barbara) of Whitney Point, John (Sandra) of Whitney Point, Victor (Vickie) of Michigan, Lynn (Ruthie) of Richford; 13 grandchildren, Jason, David, Matthew, Aaron Melissa, Brianna, Alex, Alicia, Arica, Arianna, Abbie, Lauren, Andrew, Dylan, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gale received Jesus as Savior as a child at Maine Baptist Church. He graduated from UE High School. He was married to Barbara Lyon in the Cranberry Creek Community Church in May 1958. Gale was a life-long dairy farmer starting as a child, he loved cows. Gale was a member of the Whitney Point Baptist Church, he loved his Savior and served him there. He was not afraid to talk about his faith in God. He loved his family dearly and they loved him. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Whitney Point 2938 Route 11 Whitney Point, NY Friday from 12 noon until service time at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Whitney Point.
