Evelyn Halloran

Evelyn (Paulus) Halloran, 82, of Whitney Point passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Susan Paulus and one brother, George Paulus. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Jack Halloran; 8 children, Kathy and Mike Jaros of Endicott, NY, Mike and Ruth Halloran of Red Hill, PA, Maureen and Jim Silkworth of Endicott, NY, Pat Beddoe of Endicott, NY, Kevin Halloran of Culpeper, VA, John Halloran of Tunkhannock, PA, Tom Halloran of Endicott, NY, Mary Halloran Shea of Binghamton, NY; 7 grandchildren, Katrina Halloran of North Chesterfield, VA, Rebecca Halloran of Binghamton, NY, Gary and Troy Beddoe of Endicott, NY, Stephanie Halloran of Tunkhannock, PA , and Ian and Sean Silkworth of Endicott, NY; a sister-in-law, Margaret Summers of Rochester, NY; and a brother-in-law, James Halloran of South Dayton, NY .  Evelyn was a graduate of Little Falls High School and graduated Cum Laude at Albany State Teachers College with a major in Business and Minor in English. Evelyn was a Business Teacher at Whitney Point High School prior to devoting her full time to raising her family, which brought her much joy and happiness.  She enjoyed music and singing, and was a church vocalist for several years.  Evelyn also enjoyed reading and caring for backyard birds, especially her cardinals. Evelyn was a volunteer at St. Patrick’s Church in Whitney Point where she was a member of the Hospitality Group, and also produced the church bulletin for many years. The family wishes to thank; Ideal Licensed Home Care Agency, Lourdes Hospice Staff, Caregivers Home Health, Dr. Dan Driscoll and Staff at UHS Primary Care in Lisle, NY and friends Mary Sculley, Fran Decker, Terry Preston, and Eloise Dauley. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday April 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church Whitney Point, NY.
