Welcome to the memorial page for

Elizabeth B Clark

November 8, 2014

Elizabeth Brooks Clark

In the early morning hours of November 8, 2014, Elizabeth (Brooks) Clark, 90, while surrounded by her loving children, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus. Our mother passed away in the same Brooks family homestead where she was born on August 30, 1924. Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband; Edward W. Clark, her parents; Shirley H. and Alta May Brooks, her brothers; Wilbur, Lester, Malcom and Melvin Brooks, and a sister, Ester May Brooks.
Mina Elizabeth Brooks married Edward W. Clark of Camp Hill, PA on December 21, 1946. They raised their children (Susan Lynn, Janette Rae and J Scott) in Castle Creek, NY until 1969 when the family moved to Boca Raton, Florida where they resided until their retirement.
Family was central to both Mom and Dad who loved spending their retirement traveling around the United States and abroad and visiting their children and grand-children.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters: Susan Prentice of Castle Creek, NY; Janette Ingersoll (Wayne) of Covington, WA; and son, Pastor J Scott Clark (Malinda) of Tacoma, WA. Her grand-children are: Clay Prentice, Jason Prentice, Renee Cox, Derek Ingersoll, Elizabeth Ingersoll, Nicole Otto, Stephanie Aquino and Daniel Clark. In addition, she has eleven great grand-children.
We would be remiss if we failed to mention that “Liz” is survived by her lifelong best friend of eighty-eight years, Ruth Carmen of Watertown, NY.
Many thanks to new found friends and family who lovingly watched over our mother: Cheri, Kim, Karen, Peg, Jean, Kathy, Dolores, Stephanie, Nancy and Dave. In addition, without hospice aids and volunteers this journey would have been far more difficult. Their guidance, tender care and emotional support was such a blessing. Thanks to Rhonda, Lisa, Michelle, Jodi, Florence and Tim.
A memorial service will be held in the summer of 2015. Any contributions made in memory of Elizabeth Clark may be given to Lourdes Hospice.
