Douglas A. Ballard

Douglas (Doug) A. Ballard, 79, of Lisle beloved husband, brother and uncle went home to God surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 13, 2014.  He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 57 years Shelby, two special sisters, Sandy (Gene) Baker, Sharon (Ed) Bowen, many nieces, and nephews.  Doug loved spending winters in Florida where he enjoyed golf and fishing but most of all he loved his family.  A special Thank You to good neighbor and friend, Bill Murray who always came when called for help.  Also, Dick and Ann and family, Enid and Ron, Kris & Kathy who stayed with us many hours so we wouldn’t be alone.

The family will receive friends at the Whitney Point Methodist Church, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM.  Burial will be in Center Lisle Cemetery.
