Christine M. Canniff

Christine Marie Canniff, 61, of Whitney Point, New York went to be with her Lord surrounded by her husband and children on April 18, 2013.  She was predeceased by her father and mother, Clarence and Norma Bowman and her grandson, Dalton King.  She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Steve; her sons; Shawn (Yvonne) Brad (Stephanie), Steven (Nichole), her daughter, Christina ( Lenny), 5 grandchildren, Destinee, Damian, Jordan, Taylor,Annalise; her siblings, April, Clarence, Kim, Pat, Tim, and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, cousins and friends.  Christine worked as a bus aide for Whitney Point School District for 8 years.  She was devoted to all children that came into her life from the foster children she cared for, the children on her bus route and the children in her family.  She was the foundation of her family, always loving, giving and willing to help and she will be sorely missed.  She enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, was an avid reader and a devoted NFL football fan.  Per Christine’s request, there will be no Memorial service and her family will be celebrating her life at their residence, 3864 Rt. 206, Chenango Forks, N.Y on April 27^th @ 2 PM with a dish to pass.  In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
