Charles Gaylord Obituary

Charles A. Gaylord, 87, of Whitney Point and Marathon, peacefully went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Gaylord; parents-in-law, Gerald and Wanda Lidell; brothers-in-law, Leonard Lane, Dick Lidell, William Lidell and Louis Marks; nephew, Tom Lane; and niece, Jessica Lane. Chuck is survived by his sister, Ella Mae Lane and niece, Rochelle Lane; loving wife of 67 years, Patricia J. Gaylord; son and daughter-in-law, John and Valarie Gaylord; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Maureen Gaylord; son and daughter-in-law, William and Edith Gaylord; grandchildren, Jeremy (Dawn) Gaylord, Travis (Erin) Gaylord, Sean Herder, Cody (Kassie) Gaylord, Morgan Gaylord, Mia Gaylord, Jennifer (Michael) Tomko, Ashley Gaylord and Amber (Shawn) Braman-Gaylord; great-grandchildren, Chad, Kyliana, Leland, Preston, Zackary, Aiden, Sebastian, Skyler, Jabal, Jacob, Corey, Kayla, Brooklyn and Brianna. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt, fish, and trap. Over his many years of hunting Chuck had shot exactly 100 buck. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He had many amazing and loving friends and family members here in New York and in Arkansas and will be dearly missed by everyone. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am August 30, 2025 at Lapeer Church, 1079 Parker St, Marathon, NY 13803.
