Alice M. Castline

Alice M. (Roycraft-Perce) Castline, 87, of Lisle went to be with the Lord on October 5, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband, Monroe "Sonny" Perce; husband, Clifford "Jack" Castline; parents, Elon and Pauline Roycraft; sister, Dixie Saikkonen; and brothers, Bill and John Roycraft. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Cindy Perce; daughter, Marcy Baker; daughter and son-in-law, Dorleen and Joe Kellicut; son and daughter-in-law, James and Tina Perce; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Tim Aitchison; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. Alice was born and raised on a farm in Spencer, NY and also lived and worked on the farm with her first husband, Sonny, in Lisle, NY. She was very active in Broome County 4-H and worked at Cornell Cooperative Extension, educating youths and adults to develop life-long skills and provided many opportunities to experience new events. Her favorite saying while teaching others to sew was, "God loves a happy seam ripper."  She hosted various quilting groups in her home.  Even after Alice wasn't able to sew as well, she still hosts the ladies at her home and they continue to make quilts to donate them to people in need. In lieu of flowers, you may donate material for the quilting group to continue their quilt donations.  She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend and she will be truly missed by everyone who knew her. A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Friday, October 10 at Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119th Street, Whitney Point, NY 13862. Friends of the family may call from 1:00pm until the time of service at Nichols Funeral Home.
