John C. “Jack” Lantry, 89, of Whitney Point, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren on August 25, 2018. He is predeceased by his wife, Janet E. Lantry. Jack is survived by his children, Suzanne (Michael) McDonald, Karen (Marvin) Seidel, Catherine (Jeff) Sinclair, Jacklynn Lantry, Kevin Lantry, Robert Lantry, William (Kathleen) Lantry and Timothy Lantry (Arlette Mankemi); twin brother, Thomas M. Lantry; sister, Margaret Hammill; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Jack was a proud Marine Corps veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Ironworkers Union for over 40 years. He was a past member and Chaplin of the American Legion in Whitney Point and also supported the Legion baseball organization. Jack was an avid runner and an avid Yankees and Patriots fan. A funeral mass will be held 10:00am on Tuesday august 28, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Church 59 Keibel Road, Whitney Point New York 13862. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 9:00am until the time of the service at the Church.
