Thomas Edward Stabler

Thomas Edward Stabler, 79, of Whitney Point, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 at his home. He was predeceased by his wife, Sarah Ann Stabler on October 24, 2014 and by his parents, Donald and Katherine. Thomas is survived by children, Sarah and Wayne Elstrom, South Carolina, Yolanda Stabler, Whitney Point, Thomas D. Stabler and Debra Gioa, Binghamton, James A and Julie Stabler, Castle Creek, Betty Merenz and Kevin Wigfall, Cortland, Penelope C. Stabler, Whitney Point and Thomas J. Stabler, Whitney Point; 5 grand children, Bryan, Jonathan, Amanda, Allison and Gracie; great-granddaughter, Genesis. Thomas served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army and in the U.S. Air Force. He served in Korea, France and in Greenland. He was a retired rural mail carrier. Graveside services with full military honors will be held 10:00am Friday at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Whitney Point.
