Norris W. Briggs, 91, went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2017. He was born July 13, 1926 in Conklin, New York to Norris W. Briggs and Maud Haner Briggs. Norris was predeceased by his wife, Violet Clark Fotusky Briggs; son, Jack Briggs and stepson, Thomas Fotusky and all his siblings. He is survived by two grandchildren, Barbara (Jeffery) Lappano and Chris (Rhonda) Briggs and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of his late wife, Violet Briggs: Timothy and Laura Fortusky and their family who were glad for his endearing love for Violet. Norris was a Navy airplane machinist during World War ll and worked as a machinist after an honorable discharge. He loved the Lord Jesus; was baptized on April 21, 1935 at Conklin Center Baptist Church and was an active member of Central Baptist Church, Binghamton, New York. Thanks to everyone who prayed, supported and cared for him in any way. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the three great grandchildren, Levi, Joel and Rachel Grace. Send to Lappano Memorial Fund, Life Church, 7125 Collamer Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057. A Memorial Service will be held at Central Baptist Church, 1606 Upper Front Street, Binghamton, NY on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 12:00 noon.
