My deepest sympathy to Joe's family and close friends. He was a good union man serving in many capacities in UMWA District 4 and his local. With him being on the safety committee at his local allowed me to spend some special times with him. His work is done here and may he rest in peace in heaven.

My condolences to the Panek family. Joe and his brother Lou were my baseball heros
when they played for Buffington. I was only 5 or 6 at the time but can recall watching
them hit homeruns. Rest in peace Joe....... from one of your fans.
