Grace Lee Newby

Grace Lee Springston Newby, 88, of Castle Creek passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leon E. Newby on April 4, 2014. She is survived by her children, Daniel G Newby, Jarrett D. Newby, Lori Newby Bailey; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Jefferson Springston, Jane Grant, Eric Springston. Lee was an accomplished potter and painter. She enjoyed her work at Chenango Forks Schools. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 at Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119th Street Whitney Point, New York 13862. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
